The Story
The Bedford 55-2890 is a 6-pack of solvent-resistant o-rings supplied as a direct-fit replacement for Graco 246354. These seals are specified for fluid passages where the o-ring must resist swelling and degradation from solvents, catalysts, and 2K materials while maintaining a leak-free seal between sprayer components.
Graco airless and plural-component equipment runs these seals at pressures where any loss of seal integrity shows up immediately as a leak or pressure drop.
Common reasons these o-rings are replaced:
- Swollen, hardened, or cracked o-rings after exposure to aggressive solvents or catalysts
- Scheduled replacement during gun, manifold, or fluid section service
- Bulk service: shop-wide preventive maintenance or rebuild kit stocking
- Solvent compatibility failure observed as o-ring distortion on teardown
