The Story
The Bedford 23-769 is a direct-fit replacement for the Titan/Wagner 10779 outlet valve spring. It holds the outlet (check) valve against its seat so the pump can build and hold pressure, and a fatigued spring lets the valve chatter or leak by.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Pressure loss from an outlet valve that won't stay seated
- Weak spring tension after extended service
- Valve chatter or inconsistent pumping
- Routine replacement during pump rebuild
