The Story
The Bedford 29-1791 is a direct-fit replacement for the Graco 223959 high pressure ball valve, a 3/8" NPT inlet x 1/4" NPT outlet, Teflon-seat shutoff valve rated to 5000 PSI for airless fluid lines. The Teflon (PTFE) seat handles aggressive solvents, and the stepped 3/8" to 1/4" NPT porting adapts between line sizes. Fitted between the pump and fluid hose, it lets operators isolate the line or relieve pressure safely before servicing the system.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Fluid weeping past the stem or handle when closed
- Ball or seat wear preventing a complete shutoff
- Seals degraded after prolonged solvent exposure
- Handle or stem wear making the valve hard to operate
