The Story
The Bedford 29-1570 is a direct-fit replacement for the Binks 7281611 fluid ball valve, a 1/4" NPS x 1/4" NPT shutoff valve rated to 250 PSI. It pairs a 1/4" NPS straight thread — which seals on a gasket rather than by taper — with a 1/4" NPT tapered port. It provides simple, reliable on/off control and pressure isolation on low-pressure fluid and material lines.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Fluid leaking past the valve when closed
- Ball or seat wear preventing full shutoff
- Handle or stem stiffness during operation
- Routine replacement during fluid-system service
