The Story
The Bedford 29-3609 is a direct-fit replacement for the Titan 944-030A dump valve assembly used on Titan PowrTwin 4900, 6900, and 8900 XLT and PowrLiner sprayers. The dump (bleed) valve releases hydraulic pressure to prime the pump and to relieve the system at shutdown, so a failed unit makes a large gas or hydraulic sprayer hard to prime and unsafe to leave under pressure.
Common reasons for replacement:
- Pump won't prime or hold prime on startup
- Fluid leaking past the valve when closed
- Valve seized or hard to actuate
- Scheduled rebuild on high-use PowrTwin equipment
