The Story
The Bedford 14-2163 is a direct-fit replacement for the Titan 540100 gun filter. A 100-mesh screen has 100 openings per linear inch, providing fine filtration designed for thinner materials such as stains, enamels, and clear coats. This filter installs in the spray gun handle to catch particles that pass through upstream filtration, protecting the spray tip and improving finish quality.
Common reasons this filter is replaced:
- Frequent tip clogs caused by debris passing through a worn filter
- Reduced spray pattern quality from particles bypassing the filter mesh
- Deformed or torn filter element from repeated cleaning cycles
