The Bedford 55-2462 is a 2-pack of manifold strainers supplied as a direct-fit replacement for Graco 224459. Manifold strainers sit at the pump outlet manifold to catch coarse contaminants before material enters the high-pressure section of the sprayer.
On Graco airless equipment, a clogged outlet or manifold filter restricts flow into the hose and shows up as a pressure drop at the gun even when the pump is keeping up.
Common reasons these filters are replaced:
- Strainer collapse after a heavy-bodied material is run without an upstream filter
- Pressure drop traced to a restricted manifold strainer
- Torn or distorted strainer found during pump or manifold service
- Recommended replacement during pump rebuild or filter housing service
